A late edition of the Sure-fire picks didn’t work out so well last week, with a 2-4 result. Now the season total is bleak at 36-41-1. I’m feeling pretty good about this week’s set of picks. We’ll see what happens.

Baltimore (-10.5) at Carolina, 1 p.m. Sunday

Things are beyond awful in Carolina and it will likey cost John Fox his job. Is Dallas in his future?

Congratulations Carolina, you are officially the worst team in the NFL. With 10 days to prepare, the Ravens are going to destroy these guys. Ravens -10.5.

Buffalo at Cincinnati (-5.5), 1 p.m. Sunday

The Bengals have proved they can play with anyone, they just can’t beat anyone. That will change Sunday. Bengals -5.5.

Houston at N.Y. Jets (-7), 1 p.m. Sunday

It’s the Texans’ last stand. There are too many broken ankles to count from leaping off their bandwagon, but I have a feeling the Texans will have something for Rex’s boys. Texans +7.

Washington at Tennessee (-7), 1 p.m. Sunday

The Redskins are a total mess and the Titans are in desperate need of a victory. They’ll get one Sunday and Chris Johnson will come through with a big day. Titans -7.

Oakland at Pittsburgh (-7), 1 p.m. Sunday

Speaking of bandwagons, the Raiders' is getting full. I don't buy it.

The Steelers are struggling and the Raiders are surging, but there’s just no way the Raiders are going into Pittsburgh and getting a win. Steelers -7.

Atlanta (-3) at St. Louis, 4:05 p.m. Sunday

The Rams are a nice story and rookie Sam Bradford has exceeded expectations, but they aren’t ready for the Falcons. Atlanta is a shaky road team, but will feel right at home in the dome. Falcons -3.

Tampa Bay at San Francisco (-3.5), 4:05 p.m. Sunday

The Bucs have done nothing to make me believe they can’t beat, or at least compete with, subpar teams. I think the Bucs will win this one, and if nothing else keep it close. Bucs +3.5.

Denver at San Diego (-10), 8:30 p.m. Monday

San Diego is everyone’s favorite late-season team, however, I see no reason the Broncos won’t compete and make a game of it. Broncos +10.
