A 3-5 week puts the Sure-fire picks below .500 for the season at 19-21. Not good. Flipping a coin is probably preferable to using logic the way this NFL season is going, but as always I’ll try anyway.

Colt McCoy better bring whatever this thing is to the Steelers game Sunday. It probably won't help.

Cleveland at Pittsburgh (-13.5), 1 p.m. Sunday

The Browns are making a serious push for the worst NFL team title. Colt McCoy may not survive the afternoon. Steelers -13.5.

Detroit at N.Y. Giants (-10.5), 1 p.m. Sunday

Usually when you think the Giants have things back on track they’ll do something awful. I think they’ll win this game, but the Lions will make it interesting. Lions +10.5.

New Orleans (-4) at Tampa Bay, 1 p.m. Sunday

Something has to give here. Could we really head into Week 7 with the Bucs at 4-1 and the Saints at 3-3? Show me the guy who predicted that and I’ll show you a liar. Saints -4.

Seattle at Chicago (-6.5), 1 p.m.

Like the Bucs, the Bears just don’t feel like a 4-1 team, which makes it even more surprising that they’ll likely improve to 5-1 with the Seahawks in town. But with two weeks to gameplan, Seattle will keep it close. Seahawks +6.5.

San Diego (-8) at St. Louis, 1 p.m. Sunday

This is a typical bounce-back game for the Chargers. They’ll flex their muscles against an inferior opponent a week after losing to one. Chargers -8.

Kansas City at Houston (-4.5), 1 p.m.

The Chiefs showed some grit last week, hanging with the Colts in Indy. The media has quickly bailed off the Texans’ bandwagon, but if they are indeed contenders they have to get this one. Texans -4.5.

N.Y. Jets (-3) at Denver, 4:05 p.m.

The Jets played in a rain-delayed Monday night game last week and have to travel to the other side of the country for this one. Darrelle Revis isn’t right and I think The Broncos passing attack will find some success. Broncos +3.

Tennessee (-3) at Jacksonville, 8:30 p.m. Monday

This is a huge game with the AFC South in a 3-2 logjam. Three weeks ago, Jack Del Rio’s job appeared to be in serious jeopardy. With a win here the Jaguars are in the driver’s seat. Jaguars +3.
