There has always been a brewing debate as to whether golf is a sport or not. I’m not going there.

Look out Greg Norman, this guy is having a killer round.

People walk for a really long time and whack a ball with a club. I’d say it’s a great hobby. Draw your own conclusions.

One thing is for sure. Tiger Woods is golf. When he retires, they might as well name the “sport” after him. What’s going on in the British Open this weekend is a perfect example of why golf is downright lame. As I look at the leaderboard, I’m trying to find these so-called other good golfers. Looks like Vijay Singh missed the cut and Phil Mickleson is choking his way across the greens on cue.

In what other “sport” will you find a 53-year-old (Greg Norman) setting the pace? Darts? Shuffleboard? Chess? Don’t worry though, there are a couple young bucks on Norman’s tail. Currently, 46-year-old Rocco Mediate is only six strokes back, and 44-year-old Davis Love III is just seven strokes behind.

As you can tell I’m not a golf fan, but hurry back Tiger, you’re the only thing the “sport” has got going for it.
